Elton John's "Cold Christmas" Premieres on Carols for a Cure, Volume 10 Available October 25

Broadway’s Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure, Volume 10 will go on sale on October 25 and will features the cast of Billy Elliot with the premiere of an original song by Elton John, “Cold Christmas.” . This two-disc set will also feature highlights from the Volumes 1-9, as well as the incredible talents of stars from the 2008 Broadway season.
This annual holiday two CD set benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and offers 36 original and traditional holiday songs recorded especially for this benefit CD. Included are the voices of Antonio Banderas, Harvey Fierstein, Idina Menzel, Bernadette Peters, and Andréa Burns, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Nick Jonas and American Idol’s Constantine Maroulis and Ace Young, plus new recordings with performances by stars from In the Heights, South Pacific, Wicked plus many more! Also performing on this year’s CD are Rosie’s Broadway Kids, young students in the performing arts program founded by Rosie O’Donnell.
Broadway’s Greatest Gifts: Carols for a Cure, Volume 10, produced by Lynn Pinto for Rock-It Science Records, can be ordered for only $20 through BC/EFA at www.broadwaycares.org or by calling (212) 840-0770 x250 Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST. Additionally, the CDs are sold during a six-week "Gypsy-of-the-Year" fundraising period from mid-October through mid-December at participating Broadway and off-Broadway shows in New York. The CDs also are available at select venues throughout the U.S., including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC; The LA Phil Store in Disney Hall; and The Arvada Center for the Arts & Humanities in Colorado.
