Best of Times, Worst of Times? - A posting at Footlight.com

Just went by Footlight Records' site. This is what's splayed across the top of their page:

"We gave it our best try. Unfortunately with downloading, the economy, and other factors, staying open is no longer an option for us. Footlight Records will be closing around Thanksgiving, and we will give an exact date in a few days.
We want to thank everyone that has supported us over the past 30 years.
All the best from all of us at Footlight."

Sigh.
